The Finance Director/Controller is responsible for coordinating and maintaining all accounting and operational functions of Stanislaus Community Foundation, including office management and human resources. This executive manages the accumulation and consolidation of all financial data necessary for accurate accounting. Enforces organizational finance policies and standards in compliance with applicable State and Federal law and generally accepted accounting principles. The Finance Director/Controller interacts with the CEO and Board of Directors, along with an independent auditor, in order to provide vital and accurate financial information/data on a timely basis. The Finance Director/Controller coordinates Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable in accordance with organizational policies and procedures. Ensures cash management controls are in place and followed by all Foundation staff. Coordinates investment activity with the explicit direction and prior approval of the Investment Committee and approval from the Chief Executive Officer. Maintains updated financial data on all fund files. Provides month-end and year-end financial statements for all fund files and organizes operating budget. This position serves as the Liaison to the Investment Committee.
A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field of study is required along with at least 5 years of professional experience in finance/operations. Experience with an enterprise-wide database, QuickBooks, Excel and MS Office required.
