ESSENTIAL DUTIES: This position is a member of the Library Circulation unit; under the general supervision of the Dean of Library Services, the incumbent works under the direction of the Librarian overseeing the Circulation unit and the day to day lead work direction of the Circulation Coordinator. The Circulation and Stacks Specialist is responsible for a range of public services functions, including opening and closing of the Library, assisting library patrons, overseeing the work of circulation student assistants, and general oversight of Circulation operation in the absence of other Circulation staff members. As the Stacks Specialist, the incumbent coordinates and oversees all functions pertaining to library stack maintenance (including shelving, shelf-reading, shifting of library materials, etc.). This position will work night and weekend shifts.
* Office and library stacks; non-traditional hours (i.e. evenings and weekends).
SALARY RANGE: $3,101- $5,476 per month plus excellent paid benefits. (Position will typically be hired at or near the entry salary.) The California State University offers a premium benefit package that includes, but is not limited to, outstanding vacation, health, dental, and vision plans; a fee waiver education program; membership in the California Public Employees Retirement System (PERS); and 14 paid holidays a year.
