Job Description:
Excellent Career position with our Food Processing client with a great reputation in their industry seeking an experienced Product Manager.

This position is responsible for the management of activities related to profit optimization of the various product lines contained in the Divisions portfolio. These responsibilities include marketing, product pricing recommendations, product line development, the coordination of manufacturing capability, sales requirements, sales forecasting, inventory development and market analysis. .

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
1) Based on market segmentation analysis, develop and implement marketing strategies for product lines.
2) Formulate product pricing recommendations consistent with divisional revenues and gross margin expectations.
3) Prepare and maintain consolidated sales forecasts. Work with operations to insure that manufacturing capabilities and sales requirements are coordinated and optimized. Manage inventories to optimize working capital.
4) Act as the liaison between the sales and manufacturing functions with the objective of developing effective communication and understanding of market requirements versus product line development.
5) Develop and maintain competitor profiles and market information regarding market share, market size, product applications and competitive pricing.
6) Manage outside warehousing activities to ensure effective operations and customer satisfaction.
7) Plan and coordinate participation in industry trade shows and conferences.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelors Degree in Business, Marketing, Food Science, or related field.
Five to seven years of experience in the food industry.
Functional exposure to product management, sales, marketing, customer service, or related function.
Prior experience in food ingredients industry is a must.
