Job Description:
Outstanding DIRECT HIRE Career opportunity for our client who has an established and flourishing medical practice in the Fresno vicinity for an experienced individual to fill a Clinical Services Manager position.
Duties:
Responsible for front and back office operations including scheduling, assignment, management, and administration of all patient and medical assistant services in the clinic. Ensures staffing, training and all aspects of clinical support services.
Supervision Received:
Reports to the Management Committee and works collaboratively with the practice physicians.
Supervision Performed:
Supervises all clinical support services staff including medical assistants and float personnel pool. Responsible for the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of the clinical support services staff. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws.
Position Specifications:
1. Directs and supervises all clinical support services staff including, but not limited to, receptionists, medical assistants, new patient coordinators, medical records personnel in accordance with governmental and other regulatory standards, including HIPAA. Coordinates staff scheduling to optimize patient flow and medical staff support.
2. Facilitates development and participates in preparation of Clinic goals, policies, procedures, budget, work standards.
3. Compiles and analyzes data, prepares and presents statistical information on practice performance, productivity, activity and staffing to administration. Uses continuous quality improvement methods to improve performance and processes.
4. Oversees clinical support services essential to the assessment, promotion, maintenance and restoration of patients health and wellness.
5. Oversees patient needs and suggests solutions to patient care problems.
6. Selects, orients/trains, evaluates and terminates clinical support services staff.
7. Ensures the development and delivery of clinical support service education to staff.
8. Oversees clinical support service purchasing to comply with vendor contracts, and company budgets.
9. Manage, create and assist in the use and completion of forms, templates, etc.
10. Work with attorneys in cases related to work liens, depositions, etc.
11. Maintain excellent working relationships with outside nurse case managers and other patient referral sources.
12. Coordinates the physician call schedule with local Medical Center and other acute care facilities. Assist with submission of information to facilitate timely billing for on call services.
13. Serve as liaison between clinicians and management team.
14. Coordinate with Director of Business Development in facilitating best marketing/promotional practices and operational coordination of growth efforts.
15. Requires heavy experience in California Worker's Compensation in a Medical Practice.
Education Required:
Registered Nurse, Physicians Assistant or equivalent training from an accredited school preferred.
Experience Required:
Five years minimum professional clinical administrative support services or nursing experience including at least two years of supervisory level experience.
Heavy experience in California Worker's Compensation in a Medical Practice a MUST!
Requirements:
RN, CPR, Post-High School Education.
Knowledge:
1. Knowledge of management and organizational concepts to supervise the operation of the Clinic including principles of employee development to train, delegate and mentor staff.
2. Knowledge of medical safety practices and requirement to evaluate existing standards and implement new procedures.
3. Knowledge of current clinical support services practices including HIPPA standards that adhere to patient confidentiality.
Skills:
1. Skill in applying and modifying the principles, methods and techniques of professional clinical support service.
2. Skill in identifying and researching problems, and recommending resolutions.
3. Skill in developing and maintaining continuous quality improvement in the clinic.
4. Skill in exercising high degree of initiative, judgment, discretion and decision-making.
Abilities:
1. Ability to plan, organize, prioritize and direct the work of others.
2. Ability to communicate clearly.
3. Ability to work with all personnel levels including outside advisors.
Job Requirements:
